'added value in the treatment of community and industrial waste water'

RWB offers their services to both the water companies and to industry for the treatment of waste water. Our added value lies in particular in projects for which more is required than building according to specifications. With as little to go on as a summary of the water to be treated and the effluent quality desired, our process technologists can get to work designing the most suitable installation for you.

In one case, the challenge is in the water to be treated; in another case, in the small footprint, limiting energy and chemical usage, generating energy or harvesting raw materials. Both conventional and new techniques are utilized by RWB for this, with functionality taking the lead.

This is why the relatively new technologies for biological purification, Nereda and ICEAS, were used by RWB for the purification at Westfort and RWZI Alblasserdam respectively, due to the limited amount of construction space.

Because many unique kinds of waste water exist for which no proven technology is at hand, RWB has their own testing facilities. Here, the potential technology can be proven with the medium, and various situations are simulated before beginning with construction. Of course there is also the option to place a pilot installation on location.

By presenting the design and process logic to the builder – RWB – you save an extra link and avoid shifting of responsibilities during construction. This also means that the construction teams can count on continuous support of the process technologies during construction. With this combination of theory and practice at a multi-disciplinary level – WTB, E&I and PA – you cannot ask for a better situation.

With our partners Culligan and Metawater, we also have a wide range of standard and unique products for water treatment. These can be built quickly in modules, which keeps the investment low.
