Opening Water Experiment Centre Twente (WECTwente) 06 Jun 2016

On Monday the 30th of May 2016 the Water Experiment Center Twente (WECTwente) was officially opened. WECTwente is a test facility located on the WWTP Glanerbrug in The Netherlands. Innovative water treatment installations and new technologies can be continuously tested using water from different stages of the WWTP.

WECTwente is a joint initiative of Waterschap Vechtstromen, RWB, Pentair X-Flow, Jotem Waterbehandeling and Saxion.

Fokko Borre (CTO) represented RWB during the official opening.


Opening of ‘rinse water recycling’ Wierden 03 Jun 2015

The official opening of ‘rinse water recycling’ in Wierden was on Wednesday 3 June 2015. Lieve Declercq, chairperson of the Board of Directors for Vitens, welcomed the guests and introduced the speakers. All the speakers were closely involved in the setting up of the installation.
On behalf of the European Commission, Mr Didier Gambier (head of Department B – LIFE and H2020 Energy, Environment, Resources of the European Commission) talked about the importance of this project for the European sustainability goals 2020.
Other speakers were Doeke Schippers (manager from Vitens) and André Reigersman (general director of RWB).

RWB main contractor for water purification and fermentation Westfort Vleesproducten. 08 Apr 2015

Early this year, RWB Water Systems B.V. was awarded the contract from Westfort Vleesproducten for the realization of the complete water purification and fermentation for their super-modern slaughterhouse in IJsselstein. With their small footprint, low energy use and sustainable and robust character, water purification and fermenting fit well with the key points that Westfort has set as its goal for the realization of this slaughterhouse.

Expansion and modification of RWZI Alblasserdam 07 Apr 2015

Last year, Waterschap Rivierenland awarded the contract for the expansion and modification of RWZI Alblasserdam to Mobilis/TBI on the basis of best value procurement (BVP). In this project, RWB, as subcontractor to Mobilis/TBI, handles the entire mechanical installation.
